So other than bungy Jumping in Storms River I am went for a buggy ride into the national park and went ziplining. After Storms River I headed to Knysna to enjoy the view of the Lagoon and some hiking in the national park there. And my last stop before Cape Town was in Wilderness...nice view of the waterfront here too.
So I have arrived in Cape Town and what they say about the rain in winter is true...it does not stop! I have been here for 2 days and now and haven't even seen table mountain because of the clouds! The city is nice though and staying on Long street is always interesting...
Long street would be the equivalent of Whyte ave...but funner and louder!
The plan is to head up to Namibia in a few days...

3...2...1...Bungy

My Bungy Family..They helped keep me calm!


I actually cant believe that I did this..still! This is the worlds highest bungy jump at 216m, in a little town called Storms River. You get 7 seconds of free fall before bouncing back up, and a few bounces before the guys come down the rope to get you. Very very fun!

Along the coast

Minitown...one of Durbans exciting places to visit...sadly, this place was recommended by South Africans. Anyway, I am positive that no other mini town in the world includes a car crash on the highway....and yes, there was a dead boy sticking out of one of the cars!!

Have I mentioned there are cows EVERYWHERE in this country...yes even on the beach!!!



Surfing in Coffee bay..I actually managed to stand up on the board a good number of times after only a half hour lesson! So much fun!

A township just outside Port Elizabeth. This is where all the black people were sent to live during apartheid, and were barely allowed to come into the city because that is where the whites lived...


a squatter camp....The government says they will build houses for these people..but they make the residents decide who gets to move and who doesnt...you can imagine how fast those decisions get made and than how fast the new houses get built...

oh did I mention the Billabong factory is here?? yes..also a Roxy factory, a quicksilver factory, a jeep factory....oh god...

Quick update...Have been travelling now for the last week and half..making my way down the coast. I have been relaxing a lot on the beach and trying to work on my tan despite it being winter! And dont be fooled..it does actually get quite cold here...especially at night. I have been forced to wear my toque a few times!

The last of my life in Underberg

Our VW Kombie that I got to drive...fun stuff! It barely started most mornings. It is almost impossible to get it into reverse and often pops out of first. Good Times.



This is Belindile and Jabalile..our hired staff at the house. This was nice! Almost everyone here has "ladies" because labour is so cheap.

Our favorite farmer on Scottston road...Graeme. We spent a morning helping to feed his many cows...



Fly fishing for the first time...not actually as easy as it looks...Didnt catch a thing!



My surrogate parents in Underberg: Sam and Cathy Knox. Spent many a night at their place having dinner and trying to stay warm with their under floor heating.
